Cash Corner Fire Station
South Portland, Maine

Allied Engineering was part of the design team for this new state-of-the-art 17,000 s.f. fire station designed to replace the existing 1970’s era station which had become undersized, outdated, and contaminated with toxic mold. Allied Engineering provided full service MEP and Structural Engineering design services.
The two-story constsruction included a small and large garage bay, a Decon Room, Multi-Purpose Room, Fitness Room, and Administrative offices.
Working with the department officials from Fire, Facilities, Environmental and Administration, the new facility was designed to meet the City’s current and future fire response needs, as well as environmental and energy efficiency goals, all while coming in under the $6M budget. Construction commenced in June of 2020 and was completed ahead of schedule in April of 2021. The City dedicated the station on May 12, 2021.
